A ceremony of the Darriwilian GSSP and the opening of the Darriwilian monument held by the past Chairman of the Ordovician Subcommission, Prof. Webby and the director of the Nanjing Institute with the Changshan local government leader, including participants from nine countries. |  |

In the Spring of 2001, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Sciences and Technology of China, Madam Shou Jia-hua visited the Huangnitang section (Darriwillian GSSP). The Huangnitang section is now very well protected and easy to access for visiting and investigating. |
